If you love your pet, please NEVER take them here. I was shocked at how horrible the service was and how money hungry these people are. The doctor is also extremely disrespectful! These people don’t know the definition of customer service (or empathy, which is horrible since they work with animals)
Never been to CVH but needed urgent same day end of life support. The folks at CVH were able to accommodate despite being ridiculously busy, and everyone from the receptionists to the techs to the doctor were all super professional and supportive. Thank you for taking good care of our boy at the end of it all.
BEWARE. I would not recommend this veterinary practice!
I had an extremely disappointing experience with this office, especially with the doctor I spoke with today.I contacted the office multiple times about ongoing coughing and breathing episodes both of my kittens were experiencing. I raised the issue during appointments, showed videos, emailed the video, followed up in writing, and was repeatedly told the doctor would review everything and call me. He never did. I had to keep following up myself just to get answers.
I then learned that although we were specifically instructed to bring fecal samples for both kittens, only one sample was tested. The other was discarded without anyone informing us or asking permission. I was told this was because they are littermates and share litter boxes, so the office assumed their results would be the same.
That was extremely frustrating because I specifically wanted both tested. We adopted them at different times and they did not have the same deworming history. No one communicated that one sample would be discarded. Then this morning, we found visible worms in our home.
When the doctor finally called, I expected to calmly explain my concerns. Instead, he repeatedly talked over me, did not allow me to fully explain what had happened, and told me, “I have better things to do so don’t want to waste my time.” I was honestly shocked. Extremely disrespectful and dismissive.
After spending days calling, emailing, sending videos, and waiting for promised callbacks regarding appointments I had already paid for, being told by the doctor that he had “better things to do” was incredibly disrespectful (as if I don’t also have better things to do than to follow up repeatedly when I’m the one paying for a service).
I have spent over $1,000 between just two visits. Between the poor communication, lack of follow up, the unexplained decision not to test one kitten’s sample, finding visible worms, and the doctor’s behavior on the phone, I no longer feel comfortable trusting this practice with my kittens’ care.
Good veterinary care requires communication, transparency, follow through, and respect. My experience here fell far short of all of those things.
I will be finding another veterinary practice moving forward.
