We feel like family when we come to Wicomico Veterinary hospital. We have been to quite a few vets on the shore and we have found the best. Top notch care for all of our fur kids. Thank you, Dr. Brooks and all of the vet techs!!!!!!

Very disappointing, Very rude communication. I have been taking my cats here for many years but the last time I tried to get a checkup they said they were too busy, i suppose it was nice for them to call me and tell me to pound sand: how about I write this and never go back :)

If there was an option for 0 stars, that would be my rating for this facility and staff. A brief overview of Wicomico Veterinary Hospital, paints a pretty picture and one would be led to believe the staff is welcoming, professional and provides excellent communication. Unfortunately, I beg to differ as I have been trying to obtain an update since May 2025. It was because of such great reviews that I reached out to this facility in addition to being just 3.9 miles away from my residence. I wanted to get a second opinion on my dog's constant ear infections as I had spent hundreds of dollars on prescriptions with the primary veterinarian that appeared to be more of a band aid and at times made the condition worse. I was told that there was a six month waiting list for all new clients and provided the necessary paperwork requested for my dog to be placed on that list. Subsequently, I continued my search as it would have been inhumane for me to allow my dog to suffer while I waited on an update. I made numerous attempts by calling after the six month period and did not receive a call back. Just this week, I spoke with Hope and explained how I had initially spoke with Brooke, emailed over the requested information and failed to get a response in nine months. Although, she did apologize and explained that there have been several staffing issues. That did very little to comfort me. Especially, once I questioned what happens at this point being as though she claims to have no record of my attempts, did not recognize my name and gave me a bunch of fluff about being a non-client. It was at that point where I explained that all existing clients were once "non-clients" and if their staff does not do the due diligence in maintaining proper records and/or follow up, how does one become a client? I offered to forward over the correspondence between myself and Brooke from the initial conversation in May 2025 as proof that I have fulfilled my obligations as a potential customer and having high hopes that they would hold themselves accountable and not have me wait another six months for my dog to be seen. Just last night, I received an email from Brooke (the same person from nine months ago) stating that unfortunately, they are not able to meet needs of myself and my dog. It's extremely unusual for a "HOSPITAL" to not be able to meet the needs for something as minor as an ear infection. I can't fathom the reason for this being anything other than retaliation. There was never a consultation scheduled. If they can't accommodate an ear infection than I am gravely concerned for all other "non-clients" with more urgent matters. What's even more bizarre is that there has not been any other explanation to support why they are unable to "meet the needs" of my beloved fur baby. I was led to believe that Wicomico Veterinary Hospital treats pets as their loved ones. What hospital turns away a pet in need of care? I think that I could have handled the situation better if I was told that they were not accepting ANY new clients but that was not the case. I provided all necessary documents, was patient enough to wait the six month period, followed up, questioned them about the non-communication and was denied all together after nine months!!!! Ultimately, I would rather not put my trust in a company who is deceiving about customer satisfaction being a top priority. More importantly, if you are not an existing customer, they have no interest in obtaining any new business. Unbeknownst to them, I have three other fur babies that I would have also liked to be seen here as well but I have no problem taking my business elsewhere. This company is a joke and I would advise that all new clients do your research before contacting this facility. I will also be contacting the Better Business Bureau!
